Doll And The Kicks in Control

Formatia engleza de indie/pop Doll And The Kicks va canta la Bucuresti pe data de 6 noiembrie. Concertul va avea loc in clubul Control din capitala, cu incepere de la ora 21:00. Intrarea costa 30 de lei.

Originara din Brighton, formatia Doll and The Kicks (Doll, Matt, Olivier si Chris) exista din 2005, dar a ajuns pentru prima data in atentia publicului in 2007, cand au fost invitatți de BBC Southern Counties sa participe la o competitie a carei castigatoare urma sa cante la festivalul Glastonbury. In anul 2008 au inceput sa concerteze atat in UK, cat si in restul Europei, si pe scena unor festivaluri precum The Great Escape, Beachdown Festival sau Brighton Live sau in deschiderea unor artisti cunoscuti precum Gabriela Cilmi sau Das Pop.

Intre timp, popularitatea lor a crescut datorita aparitiilor la MTV One, BBC Radio 2, BBC 6 Music, Channel M, BBC Southern Counties si Kerrang Radio. In noiembrie 2008, trupa a fost aleasa MSN Unsigned Band of the Month, iar in newsletter-ul Myspace din ianuarie 2009 trupa a aparut in Top 10 Trupe pentru anul 2009, alaturi de Lady Gaga si Florence and the Machine.

In 2009 si-au lansat albumul de debut (intitulat "Doll and the Kicks") si l-au insotit pe Morrissey in turneul lui mondial din 2009, dar si la festivalul SXSW, in Texas.

Aflat deja in al cincilea an de activitate, Doll and The Kicks sunt din nou in turneu si pe cale de a lansa un nou EP. Pe 6 noiembrie ei vor ajunge si in Romania, in clubul Control.
